Independent Texans (at IndyTexans.org), was founded in 2001, following the implosion of the Reform Party. It was founded — not as a political party — in order to seek political recognition for the growing plurality (now at 42%!) of voters who do not identify with a political party. Independents span the political spectrum on the issues of the day, but are united in the call to clean up and open up our electoral system.
